Flebox and CSS Grid go hand in hand at least for the time being. I learned Flex then Grid and use them both. Not a very hard thing to do it is actually very simple once you get your mind around how it actually works. It reduces your CSS by quite a bit.

So wouldn't it be nice if the images were in PSD format so that when we wanted to edit it we could? I am talking of the Vector files and such. Even in Illustrator they come in as one layer. That is a pretty much worthless image. Am I missing something or using Adobe Stock wrong?

I think that they are going about it wrong. Very hard to edit on a phone or design I would think. That leaves tablets and desktops. I would have thought that a browser based app would be the smart move for all there apps. What do I know though? I am sitting here trolling the forums.

Love CSS Grid but using Bootstrap is still a time saver. You get a jumping off point with all the styles and everything else. I do not use Bootstrap but something like it.

DW was my first editor I used but now I use Visual Studio Code, after trying a ton of them, and it has an integrated terminal. It’s nice to have for finding bugs, not switching back and forth when you need a terminal. Live Reload in different browsers since that doesn’t work very well in DW, git commands, although VSC has awesome Git integration. Creating pregenerated files and other things.

You can but you signed up past the initial free ten then you are hooked for a year and like those scummy phone fees if you cancel early Adobe hits you with that as well. Totally bogus deal.

Also should be aware that when you start to pay it is for a whole year and not month to month. You also forfeit all your built up licenses when you cancel. Adobe stock is a total money grab. There are so many free resources out there that this is not worth it at all. The resources on stock that are worth it you have to pay extra for.

The real reason I was upset because it was a good offer. 5 free simple sites but there are other options now for that. I’m ok I have no reason now to stay with my subscription and save the money.

Not when there are sites like Webflow. The reason for Muse was an easy non code way for designers. If you look at things like Webflow then you understand just how much Adobe failed.

So we all know that BC has called it quits. I was wondering where everyone is going to move their sites. This is it for me with Adobe I have no use for them anymore. DW sucks and is pretty much worthless at this point and Muse for Mockups is deprecated and there are plenty of way cheaper alternatives that work just as good as PS and Illustrator. I was taking a liking to Experience Design but Figma is much better anyway. There is photopea that I just found which will work for me and Affinity photo is awesome so there you go I guess.

You can use any editor and use FTP to upload. Personally I wouldn’t use the editor in BC to code anything. I use VSCode and FileZilla. BCGurus are good and I think they use Foundation for their templates. Bootstrap also works. depending on what you need Muse maybe fine but I think some of the functionality of your package doesn’t Work so probably not.

I am wondering why only some themes show up in my CC libraries in XD when I save them in Color CC. I do not get the Themes separated and named that I save in Color I just get some swatches whenever it feels like it. I have tried closing and restarting XD and when I save to Color I even see the CC logo, in the Libraries panel of XD, refreshing but it still doesn't show up ?????

So I wonder who decided to change the desktop GUI for CC in the menu bar. Instead of having all the apps I have on my machine at the top, that need to be updated, I have to scroll through the whole list to see which ones they are. Sure I can do that but why? They used to have them sectioned off but now the GUI coloring makes it very hard to tell which ones need to be updated. Adobe is supposed to be all about design and best practices. Who thought this was a good idea? Could we at least get a different color for the ones that need updating!

I for one am a VSC fan. DW has seen better days. I am not sure what their idea is with it. As for Foundation "Good Ridance?" I am actually bummed. Never was a fan of Bootstrap and if you are going to use a framework Foundation had the right tactic. Go all in but be able at the same time to easily make it your own.

From KBall a guy who worked on Foundation. Two possibilities - laid off and there is friction so he is disgruntled, or what he said is correct. Zurb is focusing on there design business and Foundation has laid off everyone. It has been abandoned to open source and the community which he said he would continue to push to when he had time. Surprising since they have been really pushing things on their blog. Codepen and YouTube. One note is that he doesn't seem to be the disgruntled type but I don't know him personally.

I got it working, thank you Ben. I use VSC and their interface for Git is awesome. I had it installed on my machine but the path was wrong from DW. I guess on a Mac it's not looking for /usr/bin/git but something different. My focus lately has been Foundation so DW has been sitting idle. When I found out about Foundation being more or less abandoned I figured I'd try Grid because I think that is why and it was an opportunity to use DW again but I guess not. Oh well maybe they will catch up one day but they have a lot of ground to cover so I doubt it. The best thing about Github I am liking right now is Github pages. You can get a simple blog up with your own domain for free and push your posts from the command line. Pretty cool!

Hey All, I am trying to use CSS Grid in DW and I am getting errors plus it isn't rendering properly in the Live View for some reason. If I just open the html in the browser it works so the code is ok. Is there something I am needing to turn on?

Hey guys I was looking for some help with DW and Git and somehow found this post so I will comment. It does change everything. I have been a big proponent of Foundation for Sites and becasue of Grid (at least that's what I think they are the second largest framework out there) they have stopped developement on it for the forseeable future. Laid off their guys/gals that dealt with the framework. I was surprised becasue all of the updatiing happening these days but I guess they see the writing on the wall as well. I was checking some sites about Grid and I found this funny. This is a site all about Grid and doesn't use it! http://learncssgrid.com/#grid-container They use ye old float hacks! LOL!
